| 1886 | Jan Havlik opens printing machine manufacturing shop in Prague |
| 1935 | Jan's son Jerry manufactures special purpose machines |
| 1951 | Jerry, brings family business to Canada and starts Havlik Enterprises in Cambridge, Ontario for manufacturing, sales and service of special purpose machines. |
| 1980 | Jan’s grandson, John Havlik Sr, starts Havlik International Machinery and a division called Gearcraft to manufacture gears. |
| 1990 | Gearcraft has 80 employees and sales over 20 million/year. That same year Gearcraft sold to Santosalo/SEW Eurodrive. |
| 1994 | Havlik International Machinery opens a new division in Prague CZ called Nova Era. Together they have imported and sold hundreds of used machines from the Czech and Slovak Republic. |
| 2003 | John Havlik and his son, John Havlik Jr. open Havlik Gear in their new facility in Cambridge, Ont., Havlik Gear is now producer of some of the largest gears in North America and has the largest gear cutting capacity in Canada. |
| 2004 | Havlik became the Importer and Distributor of Czech and Slovak machines tools and parts. |
